Frequently asked questions

Does OIT Tracker replace my allergist?

No. OIT Tracker is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for medical advice. Always follow your allergist’s instructions.

Does the app decide my child’s dose?

No. OIT Tracker does not prescribe doses, recommend dose changes, or tell you what to give. The dose, and any sick-day adjustment, come from you — following your allergist.

What the app does do is the arithmetic. When you tell it to give a reduced dose during an illness — half the usual amount, say — it works out that amount from the dose you entered and records the number it shows you, so your log matches what was actually given.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Logging doses and viewing history work offline — everything saves on your device first and syncs when you are back online.

You need a connection to sign in, to subscribe or restore a purchase, and to sync across devices. Your signed-in session is refreshed periodically, so plan to be online at least occasionally to stay signed in.

How do I sign in?

OIT Tracker uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate password to create or remember. You can also require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to open the app.

Can both parents use the same account?

With an active subscription, you can invite one other parent as a co-owner. They sign in with their own Apple ID on their own device and see the family’s children and dose history. The co-owner seat is included — they do not buy a second subscription.

If the subscription lapses, new co-owner invites are paused until it is renewed.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple Account. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. To avoid auto-renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Apple’s instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings, tap Account, then Delete Account.

This deletes your account and your children’s records from our servers — dose history, reactions, and notes are permanently removed after a 90-day retention period. Data already on your device is cleared when you delete the account, and is fully gone once you uninstall the app.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings — deleting your account does not cancel Apple billing.

Is my child’s health information private?

Yes. Photos of your child — profile photos and reaction photos — stay on your device and are never uploaded.

See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we store, what we never collect, and how long we keep it.
